Special version Silverado Realtree Edition presented at the shooting show in Las Vegas
Chevrolet, in collaboration with Realtree, an active leisure retailer, has shown a special Silverado pickup for hunters and fishers. Such Silverado differs from ordinary trucks in camouflage graphics, exhaust design, running boards, off-road equipment and interior decoration.
The basis of Silverado Realtree Edition took a pickup truck with packages for off-road Custom Trail Boss and Z71. The list of standard equipment includes 20-inch wheels with Goodyear Wrangler “off-road” tires, a 51 mm-height suspension, underbody protection, special Rancho shock absorbers, a two-stage transfer case and a rear differential auto lock function.
Externally, the special version can be distinguished by the rectangular tailpipes of the exhaust system, the graphite footboards of the original form, the pattern on the rear fenders, hood and door handles, as well as by the reinforced cargo platform.
There are no technical differences from the standard Silverado, but the Realtree Edition version can be ordered only with the top-end V8 gasoline engines – 360-horsepower 5.3-liter and 426-horsepower 6.2-liter.
Chevrolet has not yet published a price list for the trucks of the Realtree Edition series and has not announced a release date for the special version. It is known that the first “hunting” Silverado is planned to be delivered to dealerships in six months.
American automakers periodically stimulate demand for heavy pickups with the release of special modifications – four months ago Chevrolet fueled interest in the Silverado, showing a rally and off-road version of the truck.
