Chevrolet Groove was identical to Baojun 510May 21, 2020
The Chevrolet lineup has replenished with a new compact cross called the Chevrolet Groove. The novelty is called a complete copy of the Chinese bestseller Baojun 510. Such parallels of the brand’s fans are not surprising: recently, the Baojun 530 crossover unexpectedly turned out to be a “second” Captiva.
Chevrolet Groove became the second crossover with the Chevrolet logo. The first-born in this series is the global SUV Baojun 530, from which, as a result, an analogue of the new Chevrolet Captiva was obtained. Both Chinese Chevy are focused on export supplies. So, next month, Chevrolet Groove should enter the South American market. Next in line are the Middle East and Mexico. It is possible that the novelty will reach our country.
Externally, the new Chevrolet cross differs from the Baojun 510 logo and the structure of the radiator grille – the bars replaced the grid. In length, the cross reaches 4,220 mm with a wheelbase of 2,550 mm, and its width and height are 1,740 and 1,605 mm. The engine range of the new SUV includes a one and a half liter atmospheric engine with 112 hp. and a 1.2-liter 1.2-liter turbo engine.
The transmission is a six-speed “mechanics” or a CVT, but the drive is a front-wheel drive.
Cross-country equipment will delight even the most demanding customers: four airbags, modern multimedia with a touchscreen, air conditioning or climate control, tire pressure sensors, multi-function steering wheel and much more. The price of Chevy Groove will not work yet: the manufacturer has not yet announced the official price lists. Prices for Baojun 510 in China start at 59,800 yuan.
