Chevrolet, Ford and Dodge reported sales of their muscle cars

The data is valid for last year. The most popular American muscle cars are still in demand among fans of powerful US cars. Looking ahead, I will say that for one of them the sales statistics turned out to be rather gloomy.

With the advent of the new 2019, we begin to receive sales statistics from automakers over the past year. What about the popularity of such legendary American sports cars as the 2018 Chevrolet Camaro, the 2018 Ford Mustang and the 2018 Dodge Challenger?

So, the Ford Mustang (in the main photo) became the most purchased car of last year from this trio.

The representative of the family of pony car still remains a favorite with US buyers. It is reported that in 2018 75,842 copies of this car were sold. Despite the fact that Mustang easily holds the first place, its sales compared with the same 2017 year fell by 7.4%.

Now a few words about the Dodge Challenger. Despite the rather old platform on which this car is based (it’s already 10 years old), sales of this powerful car continue to grow. 66,716 fans of the powerful cars from the USA gave Dodge Challenger preference last year. Compared with 2017, sales growth was 3%. This is not so much, but it is the only car from the American trio that showed an annual increase. Things with the good old Dodge Challenger are about the same.

In 2018, the Chevrolet Camaro, as you can already guess, went very badly. Sales fell to a minimum – only 50,963 were sold, which is 25% less than in 2017. Even though the Camaro entered 2018 as an updated car, it was widely criticized – so much so that Chevrolet decided to quickly correct some flaws.

Not so long ago, we wrote about the Mercedes-Benz SLE Shooting Brake. This is an incredible render of a German sports car.
