A very unusual 2005 Chevrolet Colorado pickup will be on display at the Mecum auction in November. Its main feature is the open cockpit.

The transformation of the pickup into the original roadster was handled by Kentucky’s Cool Cars. To make the car look like a roadster, it was necessary to leave the cab without a top, and also to “chop off” the windshield. The so-called “suicidal” doors make the former pickup even more shocking. Add to that the eye-catching radiator grille, 22-inch wheels, special paintwork and air suspension.

The back door had to be welded – from this the pickup, of course, lost its practicality. Inside the car we see leather seats with snakeskin inserts. Also suede was used for interior decoration. The combination of colors here is based on contrast, and red becomes the leading shade. The fiberglass center console houses a DVD player. Not without a powerful audio system, and you can control the “shortened” windows using special keys.

There is no information about the technical characteristics of the roadster. Obviously, he got a 5-cylinder engine with a working volume of 3.5 liters.

Meanwhile, German tuners have converted the Sprinter into a designer camper. The car has become larger than the donor, and the cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay – a shower, sleeping places and even a large refrigerator.

Its output can be slightly higher than that of the standard model (car produces 220 hp). How much such a car will cost to its new owner is unknown. At the last auction, it was in the amount of 75-100 thousand dollars
