Chery launches Porsche-style coupe crossover
December 29, 2019 Chinese brand Chery has launched a new coupe-shaped crossover with a Porsche-style design. Recently, the NJCAR portal editorial staff got their debut “live” pictures of the model, which were made at the company’s enterprise.
Judging by the photo, trial copies of the cross, which received the Chery S61 index, have already left the assembly line. It is noted that its design was developed by Pininfarina specialists. The car has acquired an exterior that looks a lot like chic Porsche SUVs.
The interior of the car is also decorated in the style of modern luxury cars. Thus, in the cabin Chery S61 should emphasize the presence of a front panel with a large display, virtual dashboard and a touch screen infotainment complex. In addition, the novelty has an expanded center console with a touch-sensitive climate control unit, as well as an electronic gearbox selector.
As noted, the distance between the axles of the new items is 2805 mm, therefore, the car will be larger in size than the Nissan X-Trail. The new crossover is equipped with an electric motor, the characteristics of which have not been disclosed in the current period.
Serial variation Chery S61 should go on sale in early 2020.
