Chery plans to release an update for its Jetour X90 large crossover. According to the portal “New Cars”, the new product should be officially presented on Monday, August 17, and the car will be on sale in the fall of this year. The dimensions of the new items will be 4840x1925x1745 mm with a wheelbase of 2 850 mm. Based on this, it is considered as a competitor for the KIA Sorento Prime and Toyota Highlander.
Compared to the previous version, the car will receive a different design of bumpers, new head optics, a stylish grille with a honeycomb structure and taillights with LED filling. The basic configuration of the Jetour X90 will have two rows of seats, and for a surcharge, customers will be able to count on a modification of the car with three rows of seats and 6 or 7 seats in the cabin.
The motor range of the car will consist of two power units. The base will be a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 156 hp. Customers will also be able to look forward to a version with a more powerful 1.6-liter engine capable of producing 197 hp. A 6MKPP or a robotic gearbox will be offered as a transmission. The drive is exclusively front-wheel drive.
In the salon of the novelty, we note the appearance of a fully digital instrument panel, as well as an improved multimedia system.
Electronic assistants include adaptive cruise control, all-round cameras and a collision avoidance system. The official cost of the updated Jetour X90 will be announced closer to the start of sales, according to preliminary data, the most affordable version will have to pay 89,900 yuan
