Charged Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 lost most of its camouflageMarch 28, 2019
Apparently, the engineers of Mercedes-AMG are in the final stages of testing the high-performance coupe Mercedes-AMG CLA 45. The date of the presentation is not yet known.
Yesterday, the press service of the sports brand Mercedes-AMG published a video with the new A45, in which this car showed a class on the ice. Now, foreign journalists got the prototype of the high-performance 4-door coupe Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 of the second generation.
Possessing less camouflage than ever before, this time the spotted car allows you to see yourself almost from all sides. In fact, the remaining whirling disguise is very so subtle – so one can say that the exterior of the long-awaited novelty is almost declassified.
From the front Panamericana false radiator grille to the front four exhaust pipes at the rear, this is without a doubt a full-fledged model with an index of 45.
There are other tips pointing to the most powerful version of the car, such as the generous size of the spoiler boot lid, rear diffuser, AMG wheels and large front air intakes. The prototype looks as if it is glued to the road thanks to a stiffer suspension, which is exclusive to the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45.
Mercedes did not say a word about what the new CLA 45 will power, but it can be assumed that there will be a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine under the hood, which will debut in the next A45, the “charged” version of the 5-door hatchback. It is reported that the basic version will be able to boast 383 horsepower, and for the execution of S will be in store 416 “horses.” In both cases, an 8-step automatic dual-clutch and 4Matic all-wheel drive system will be installed.
