Charged flagship BMW M8 appeared on the first videoJanuary 3, 2019
The Bavarian concern is preparing for many debuts of cars from the M-series, but the most anticipated remains the future flagship based on the revived premium coupe 8-Series. Spies managed to shoot a full-fledged M8 during the tests.
The first BMW M8 model in the company’s history is already undergoing tests. And the future coupe will not just be an expensive version of the 6-or 7-Series. For engineers and designers of the company it is a chance to realize all their ideas and desires, to the full, showing all their capabilities. As part of the preliminary testing of the prototype, the car traveled around the Nürburgring ring for a long time, where it was filmed by photo spies.
The video holds a full 12 minutes, during which you can see the camouflaged prototype in motion and in the parking lot. At some points you can see how the front brake discs are red-hot.
Despite the camouflage, we see that the design, so far, is not very different from the M850i. Nevertheless, the model received a new bumper with increased air intakes, an extended splitter, mirrors from the M package, new alloy wheels, and four exhaust pipes.
Under the hood, for sure, used 4.4-liter biturbo V8 engine, capable of developing about 620 horsepower. Together with him, the automatic transmission is paired with the proprietary system of all-wheel drive xDrive.
