Charged BMW M8 confidently loses camouflage – soon the premiere!April 29, 2019
The long-awaited German novelty – a high-performance BMW M8 coupe, was spotted this weekend at the Nürburgring race track. So far there is no exact data on when BMW plans to present its new product.
In the current flagship family of the BMW 8-Series, there are already worthy contenders for the title of a truly fast car – these include the diesel BMW 840d and 850i xDrive. But for those who wanted more, we are in a hurry to report that the tests of a full-fledged BMW M8 are in full swing – a couple of minutes ago, our foreign colleagues published a “spy” video showing the coupe warming up on the Nurburgring.
There was very little camouflage film on the prototype of the car, which usually indicates that the official presentation of the model is just around the corner.
The BMW M8 has several similarities with the 850i xDrive version, such as a carbon roof and a chiseled lower bumper, from which 4 exhaust pipes protrude – these pipes have become larger. The front spoiler is also similar to that of the 850i, and is also larger in size. The front part of the prototype has remained almost unchanged, but the brakes are clearly more than the same 850i xDrive.
It is assumed that the high-performance BMW M8 will be equipped with a 4.4-liter V8 engine with two turbines, but at the moment, there is no data on its power. It is assumed that this engine will be able to give about 600 horsepower, and on even more powerful versions of the M8 Competition, this figure will reach 630 hp. So far there is no exact data on when BMW plans to present its new product.
