“Charged” BMW M3 station wagon brought to the road for the first timeAugust 26, 2020
A subdivision of the German brand BMW M in Instagram has distributed a video in which the “charged” M3 Touring station wagon was first noticed on the road.
The disguised concept drove out of the BMW M center near Munich. The production model is expected to appear within the next two years.
Judging by the video, the first ever mass-produced M3 station wagon will get the same large “nostrils” of the radiator grille as the M3 sedan and M4 coupe. Recall that the first appearance of the M3 wagon version was confirmed earlier this month. At the same time, information appeared that the finalization of the car would take place on the Nürburgring track.
According to assumptions, the M3 / M4 will receive the S58 biturbo engines, which were the first to equip such crosses as the X3 M and X4 M. Performance in the standard variation and the Competition modification can reach 480 and 510 hp. respectively.
The 5-door Mercedes-AMG C63 and Audi RS4 are cited as potential competitors for the M3 Touring.
In addition, it was recently noted that the German company BMW is testing the 8 Series with a mid-mounted powertrain. It should be emphasized that the mysterious concept of the German coupe was noticed not far from the Nürburgring race track.
