Charged Audi RS Q8 seen at the NurburgringAugust 29, 2019
Do you think that the recently released RS6 Avant is not so extreme? Then meet the Audi RS Q8 – this car is going to stand out with its practicality and performance.
Just the other day, a new version of Audi caught the eye of photo spies with a small presence of camouflage. Paying attention to the body under disguise, you can see that the model has acquired the traditional attributes of the Audi Sport MO in a more serious volume. This includes the rather large composite brake calipers and rather aggressive bumpers.
The novelty was equipped with the same power plant as in the Audi RS Q7 – it is a 4-liter V8 turbocharged engine that reaches a power of 429 horsepower. Due to this, the “younger” crossover can accelerate to one hundred km / h in 4.8 seconds. Although this does not fit the characteristics of the RS models, it is unlikely that someone will not like it, especially in a car weighing about two tons.
In addition, the model acquired a 48-volt starter-generator, which is designed to power electric motors installed on each axis. Using such a mechanism, active roll stabilization was implemented in SQ8. One cannot fail to mention Audi’s famous Quattro all-wheel drive, which increases the model’s maneuverability at low speeds and also makes it more nimble in cornering.
Since July of this year, the model can be ordered. The first month of autumn will bring the first deliveries of cars to the market. There is currently no cost information for the Audi RS Q8
