Charged Audi cars will receive an all-wheel drive systemJuly 19, 2020
This information was shared by the official representative of the German brand. This applies to all vehicles in the RS family.
All “charged” Audi cars will be equipped with quattro all-wheel drive. It is noteworthy that all Audi cars will receive four-wheel drive, including both versions with a classic internal combustion engine and fully electric cars. Rolf Michl, head of sales and marketing, believes that all-wheel drive is integral to the safety of powerful sports cars.
With the proprietary quattro system, Audi cars will not only have better dynamics, but also better cornering at high speeds. Thus, the R8 supercar could be the last to receive a rear-wheel drive system. The sale of such a car will be carried out for several more months, after which they will be stopped. The rear-wheel drive Audi R8 is available as a coupé and roadster.
The coupe is 65 kilograms lighter than the all-wheel drive version. And for a roadster, the difference in weight is 55 kilograms. Also, when buying a modification with rear-wheel drive, you can significantly save up to 22 thousand euros.
