Changes will occur in the engine lineup of the Cadillac CT6 sedanApril 29, 2019
Today, the press service of the American brand announced that the engine range for the sedan Cadillac CT6 lose 2.0-liter turbo engine. From now on, all versions of the model will be available only with all-wheel drive.
The future of the full-size Cadillac CT6 luxury sedan after the onset of 2020 is still uncertain. A recent report published by the Cadillac Society tells us that very soon, small changes will occur in the car’s engine range. The car can no longer be ordered with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine.
After seeing this message, we immediately turned to the online configurator Cadillac and we can confirm that this is true.
The remaining options, which can be selected online, are aspirated 3.6-liter V6 and 3.0-liter twin turbocharged V6. And, of course, a seriously upgraded 500 hp V8 unit, which is available for the high-performance CTS-V.
Thus, now the most affordable performance of the CT6 sedan will begin with a mark of about $ 60,000. In addition, only when choosing a 2.0-liter engine, you can get rear-wheel drive. All other options with V6 and V8 work with all-wheel drive.
So far, there is no official news from the company Cadillac. Independent sources close to the brand report that the American GM, which includes the automaker Cadillac, is struggling to cope with the ever-increasing demand for the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine, which is also offered in other GM cars.
