The management of Changan Automobile reported that already in March this year, the automaker was fully ready to start production of unmanned vehicles on a mass scale.
The new car of this brand, UNI-T, will have a third-level autonomous driving system. More recently, in early March, an international presentation of the new Chinese crossover was held. The event was held at home in China. Everything was unfolding in the online broadcast mode, the process was led by the head of the brand. The novelty received a whole range of different sensors, in the arsenal of the car there are 12 ultrasonic sensors and another 5 short-wave ones. In addition, the model has 6 cameras. This whole system makes it possible to create maps of three-dimensional level at 360 degrees. It follows that this system makes it possible to fix various obstacles within a radius of 200 meters around the vehicle.
At the moment, there is a special classification according to which there are six levels of autonomous driving. The third level is the level of increased autonomy. When working at this level, the car is able to move independently under various conditions.
