Changan CS55 received an electric versionMarch 17, 2020
The modification was called E-Rock and has a large power reserve.
The Chinese automaker Changan has recently been very actively developing modern technology in automobiles. Not so long ago, the company introduced the Uni-T unmanned vehicle, now it is the turn of the presentation of the CS55 electric crossover. Initially, they wanted to start selling it in the first or beginning of the second quarter of this year, but now the deadlines have been shifted to June. The base for the car was the CS55 Plus model.
The power plant of the Changan CS55 E-Rock is 218 hp. due to an electric motor of 160 kW. The power reserve without recharging in the NEDC cycle is 605 km. The car received minor changes in appearance – mainly the patched and repainted radiator grille is striking. Also, due to the lack of rear pipes, the design of the rear bumper has changed.
The length of the car increased by 15 mm due to the design of the electric motor – now it is 4,515 mm. But the wheelbase has not changed – the distance between the axles is still 2 650 mm.
The interior of the car almost completely repeats the CS55 Plus version – a large infotainment system with a diagonal of 10.25 inches and a digital dashboard with the same screen size are located in the cabin. Changan CS55 E-Rock became the third electric car of the brand after the E-Pro and EV400 models. E-Pro has a range of 401 km, and the EV400 can travel 351 km without recharging.
