CEO Audi called the timing of the new crossoverMay 26, 2019
Audi in July 2019 will present a new compact crossover called the Q3 Sportback, which will compete, for example, with the BMW X2. This was announced at the annual meeting of shareholders of the German mark by its head Bram Shot.
Previously it was assumed that the novelty would be called Q4, but the Germans decided for the first time to choose the designation Sportback for one of the representatives of their SUV line. According to preliminary data, the public premiere of the Audi Q3 Sportback will be held in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The novelty will separate knots and units with a standard crossover Q3, from which it will differ only in the silhouette of the body. The range of engines will include petrol and diesel supercharged engines with a working volume of 1.5 and 2.0 liters with a capacity of 150 to 230 horsepower. It is not excluded that the model will also have a version with a hybrid power plant, which will be able to drive exclusively on electric propulsion up to 50 kilometers.
In addition, the model will have a “charged” RS-modification, which will be equipped with a 2.5-liter supercharged five-cylinder engine with a capacity of about 400 horsepower. Such a car will also be equipped with a sports suspension and enhanced brake mechanisms.
