Cars from the garage of the legendary Freddie MercuryDecember 26, 2019
In this article, we will talk about some cars that were in the collection of the legendary musician Freddie Mercury, who was the vocalist of the rock band Queen.
Freddie Mercury became the vocalist of the rock band Queen. With an extravagant personality on stage and the ability to take all four octaves with his voice, Freddy became famous in the history of rock music. He was not only a singer, songwriter and producer, but he was also a car enthusiast with a rather interesting collection of cars.
Here are just a few cars from the Freddie Mercury collection.
And we will start, perhaps, with the German limousine Daimler Limousine DS420. When Mr. Mercury bought this car, he did not even have a license to drive a car. Thanks to his status as a rock star, he always drove with a driver. This limousine was literally royal, as it was a common vehicle in Europe among the royal families of the time.
Further noteworthy is the Lincoln Town Car, which once replaced the Continental model. Lincoln Town Car has become a large sedan, created for a comfortable trip. The car was Freddie’s everyday car when he was in New York. He bought it so that he would not have to rent a car every time he came to the city.
Rolls-Royce is a British automaker known for producing luxury luxury models. One of the models that caught Freddy’s attention was the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, the car he held until he died in 1991. Freddie chose a model with a gray interior decorated with wooden accents, and the main attraction of the car was a cassette player and telephone.
The Range Rover convertible was also in the Freddie’s collection, which was more of an adventure car than a luxurious vehicle for comfortable driving, like the aforementioned Rolls-Royce.
Last but not least, the TS is one of Freddy’s favorite cars – the Mercedes-Benz 420SEL. He served as a daily auto ddya Freddy after 1986. Sold a few years after the death of the singer in 1996, the car was in the hands of the buyer, who eventually forgot about him. The car was in poor condition, but was subsequently fully restored.
