Ghosn is suspected of causing $ 5 million in damages to Nissan. According to the investigation, from 2015 to 2017, Carlos Ghosn, at his own discretion, transferred funds to a certain dealer company in Oman, which was led by his acquaintance. At the same time, part of the payments was eventually transferred to a front office in Lebanon through the account of one of its owners. In the Tokyo prosecutor’s office suggest that the funds including were spent on the purchase of the yacht Ghosn .
In turn, the lawyers of the top manager claim that the payments to the firm in Oman were made as legal remuneration, and they have nothing to do with the purchase of the yacht.
