Carlex introduced a sports version of the Ford TransitJanuary 25, 2021
As part of their next project, the guys from the Carlex Design tuning studio presented a “package” of external and internal changes for the American Ford Transit Custom van.
Custom X, the official name of the new project of the renowned Carlex Design studio. For the American van Ford Transit, a special front bumper with an apron and side plates, an exclusive false radiator grille with the tuner’s logo in the middle, larger side skirts and fender flares have been developed.
The rear of the Transit Custom has a new bumper with diffuser and integrated tailpipes on each side, as well as a roof wing.
The design is complemented by red accents contrasting with the rest of the body, which can be ordered in several shades, and 18-inch wheels wrapped in 255/45 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires.
Inside, Carlex gave the Custom X a race car feel with a pair of bucket seats up front, trimmed in black leather and Alcantara. The same materials were applied to other interior details, to which red accents were added.
Customers can optionally equip the bespoke Transit Custom with several additional features such as a tow bar and tow bar wires from Westfalia, as well as an app-controlled artificial engine noise for the sound of a powerful V8.
