Carbon Edition “package” announced for Mazda CX-5, CX-7 and Mazda6 crossoversAugust 14, 2020
The Japanese automaker has announced a special design “package” called the Carbon Edition. It can be ordered for the Mazda CX-5, CX-7 crossovers and the Mazda6 sedan. The price for the new version of Japanese cars is still unknown.
All of the company’s models that receive the Carbon Edition package have a Polymetal Gray exterior with black accents. Cars received dark rims. The interior is upholstered in red leather with matching stitching and black accents throughout the interior. Heated front seats are standard. These vehicles also receive driver assistance features such as rear cross traffic alert, radar cruise control and intelligent braking assist.
It is not yet known when the Carbon Edition “package” will be available to buyers and how much it will cost.
Mazda has had a rough time in the United States in 2020. In July, the company’s sales fell 5.5 percent. The only model to see sales growth so far is the midsize crossover CX-9, which grew 12.7 percent year over year.
This year, the Japanese automaker also had to postpone construction of a plant in Alabama, USA due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The $ 1.6 billion joint venture with Toyota was supposed to start production in 2021, but the companies had to postpone the opening date later that year.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that the Mazda CX-4 coupe-crossover received an update. The new configuration hasn’t received as many changes as it did in 2019, but there’s a lot to see here too.
