Captured prototype “charged” BMW M4 2021July 7, 2020
The Bavarian brand is in the final stages of testing the prototype of the BMW M4 high-performance coupe. Presentation of new items is scheduled for September this year.
BMW has already introduced an updated 4 Series coupe with its huge false radiator grille, and judging by these pictures from the tests of a more powerful version of the model, which will receive the designation M4, it will also receive hefty nostrils.
The prototype of the novelty is closed only with a thin camouflage film with a vortex pattern.
This time, we can clearly see some of the body lines of the updated BMW M4, which appear through the film, as well as a large false radiator grille with a license plate divided into two parts. If you look closely at the upper right sector of the grill, you will see the M4 badge hidden under the black ribbon.
Thanks to the in-line B58 turbocharged six-cylinder engine, the novelty’s power will be more than 500 horsepower, at least that is what this engine can offer in more expensive models of the company. As a transmission, a dual-clutch gearbox will be offered, and all-wheel drive will be a standard option.
Nevertheless, motorists will still be able to order a new product with a six-speed manual, which will direct torque to the rear wheels. In this case, a high-performance coupe will receive a less efficient motor – according to rumors, its power will be 480 hp.
BMW has confirmed that the new M4 will debut in September. A presentation of the high-performance M3 sedan is also due in September.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that the BMW 3 Series wagon made the most powerful M3 F80. Tuning studio M Conversions decided to significantly upgrade the wagon BMW 320d.
