Can a Ferrari SF90 Stradale Hybrid Supercar Have a More Powerful Version?October 18, 2019
Sales of the new Italian supercar will start next year, but so far, the brand’s engineers are conducting some refinement tests of their hybrid novelty. There is also the possibility that a more productive version of the machine awaits us.
Back in May of this year, the press service of the Italian automaker published photos and specifications of its new hybrid supercar, which received the designation Ferrari SF90 Stradale. We were also given a chance to familiarize ourselves with the video, which shows the capabilities of the new product – the car wrapped circles on the race track.
But we still have not seen a fully serial version of the model. That is why this video clip showing two copies of the SF90 Stradale is especially interesting to us. Yes, these cars are still covered with camouflage film and it is quite possible that these are prototypes and the brand’s engineers conduct a number of inspections to make sure that all the car’s systems work as they should.
The fact may be that the Italian company, along with the usual version of its new product, is testing its more high-performance version. Take a closer look – one of the test cars has changes in the rear. In addition, this car sounds more aggressive than the other.
If one of the noticed SF90 Stradale is indeed an upgraded version of the new product, then it must be a very powerful car. The supercar in its usual version develops 986 horsepower – the power plant consists of a 4.0-liter Twin-Turbo V8 and three electric motors. This is the first Ferrari plug-in hybrid engine that can travel 25.75 km at speeds up to 135 km / h using just one electric power. Acceleration to 100 km / h is 2.5 seconds, and the maximum speed is 339 km / h.
