Cadillac will stop producing the popular XTS sedanOctober 14, 2019
Cadillac Corporation has announced that it is halting production of the popular XTS sedan. At the same time, the model until recently remained one of the most popular in the family of the American brand.
So, in the second quarter of this year, Cadillac XTS sales in the United States amounted to 5,359, which is 46% more than the figures for the same period in 2018. And in the first 6 months of this year, over 9,000 such cars were sold.
Until recently, the XTS model was one of the leaders in the segment of luxury full-size sedans of the North American car market. She was a competitor to cars like the Lincoln Continental and Acura RLX.
In the US market, the Cadillac XTS was offered with a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V6 LFX engine, and an even more powerful 3.6-liter V6 LF3 engine equipped with twin turbochargers. The second power plant was completed with only a “charged” variation – the XTS V-Sport.
It was also recently noted that the new Cadillac Escalade received a massive grille. Presentation of new items should take place in 2020.
