The company Cadillac brought to the final road tests updated sedan CT6. This time, the engineers tested the car in winter conditions. Spy pictures of the prototype restyling flagship of the American brand published the publication Motor1. According to the publication, the official premiere of the car will be held in February at the Auto Show in Chicago.
Judging by spy shots, the updated Cadillac CT6 will borrow some stylistic elements from the Escala concept car, which was introduced in August 2016. The restyling sedan will receive a similar wide grille, also new optics, other bumpers and a sports exhaust system with two nozzles.
The new gamma is likely to be used by the previous version of CT6. So, the novelty will be offered with a two-liter “turbo-quater” with a capacity of 265 hp, and also with a 3.6-liter atmospheric, issuing 335 hp. Also, the appearance of a hybrid modification of the machine is expected. The structure of the installation will include a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor. The total power of this version will be 335 horsepower.
In addition, the car may have “charged” modifications – CT6 V-Sport and CT6-V. The first want to equip an upgraded three-liter twin-turbo V6, and the second can get an eight-cylinder engine with a capacity of 4.2 liters with two turbines. According to another version, the CT6-V will be equipped with a 6.2-liter unit from the Chevrolet Corvette.
Full-size luxury sedan Cadillac CT6 was presented in spring 2015 at the motor show in New York. In the design of the novelty, aluminum was widely used, from which, in particular, all the body panels were made. Thanks to this, the mass of the large sedan did not exceed 1,700 kilograms.
