Cadillac introduced the high-performance sedan CT5-VMay 31, 2019
Under the hood of the “charged” American sedan CT5-V is a 355-horsepower Twin-Turbo V6. The new version of the model will go on sale early next year as the 2020 model year sedan.
Today in Detroit, Cadillac representatives showed an updated version of the charged mid-size CT5 sedan. While the predecessor of this model was incredibly insane, with its supercharged V8 rated at 640 horsepower, Cadillac engineers decided to turn down the power for the new version of the car.
It is reported that the CT5-V is built on the platform of Magnetic Ride Control 4.0. Traction control, vehicle handling with an adjustable V-mode allow drivers to create individual driving sensations, and Brembo front brakes with 13.6-inch rotors help to stop quickly.
Cadillac also offers the Super Cruise autonomous control system as an additional option.
The presented vehicle received a more aggressive aerodynamic body kit with a nameplate for the charged models of the brand. “The new V-Series sedan line defines modern sophistication by combining luxury with sophisticated technology and sporting sophistication for the discerning enthusiast,” – said Cadillac chief engineer Brandon Vivian. “We are inviting even more customers to the V-Series family, adding a new level of increased performance between our Sport models and the highest performance tracks that V-Series models represent.”
