Spotify’s music streaming service in conjunction with Cadillac has released an application that will allow owners of American brand cars to listen to music without smartphones. The program is installed in the infotainment system of the car, and to access the service uses the built-in output to the 4G LTE Network. This is reported by Engadget.

The application Spotify for Cadillac is similar to its analog for smartphones. Owners can access the recommended service functions, a track list and a personal library, and create playlists. However, for security reasons, its functionality is limited. For example, you can not view large lists of tracks, because they can distract the driver from the road.

The application is available for ATS, ATS-V, CTS, CTS-V and XTS models. It is expected that the flagship sedan CT6 it will appear later.

Previously, Seat was the first manufacturer to integrate into its cars a popular application for searching music Shazam. The service will start operating from April this year and will be available through special applications for the Android Auto platform.
