Cadillac has released updated versions of CT6 for ChinaJuly 26, 2020
Cadillac has revamped the CT6 in China with two new variations featuring the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system.
The standard version with Super Cruise starts at 469,700 yuan and comes with a panoramic sunroof, LED lighting and 18-inch alloy wheels. In addition, the model is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a multimedia system with a 10.2-inch screen, a Bose audio system with 10 speakers, front seats with ventilation, heated and leather upholstery, and a 2-zone climate control system.
The flagship variant of the updated model, which starts at 489.7 thousand yuan, has a sportier look and 19-inch alloy wheels. In addition, this variation has adaptive headlights and adaptive suspension.
Both CT6 modifications are equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine with 233 hp. (350 Nm), which is combined with a 10-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.
The main innovation is the Super Cruise system, which uses map and GPS data to pinpoint the vehicle’s location. In addition, the car received a whole set of cameras and radar sensors. As noted in Cadillac, all collected information will be used to create a “virtual path”. In particular, the CT6 will be able to automatically adjust to the traffic flow.
The updated CT6 also received a system that notifies the driver in case of prolonged distraction from the road. To do this, she will use the vibration of the chair, beeps and light on the steering wheel.
