Cadillac has chosen a name for the new electric carJuly 29, 2020
GM has registered a new Symboliq trademark in the United States.
In the future, one of the Cadillac electric vehicles may acquire such a name, the debut electric cross of which received the consonant name Lyriq.
What model will be called Symboliq is currently unknown. In any case, the American brand is already developing two electric vehicles (apart from the Celestiq sedan and the Lyriq crossover), one of which is an SUV, which will most likely be called the Escalade EV, and the other a compact crossover.
It is the crossover that is supposed to get the new name Symboliq. There are no details about it yet, however, most likely, the compact “classmate” of the petrol Cadillac XT4 will appear before the end of this year.
Recall that the serial electric car Cadillac Lyriq will be equipped with a revolutionary interior in architecture and functionality, and its standard electronics will be able to warn the motorist in advance about the lack of battery power and show the nearest charging stations on the navigation map. Lyriq will debut next week, August 6th.
In addition, it was recently noted that the Cadillac CT5 and CT-5 V sedans will acquire a huge digital dashboard. Both cars will be positioned as new products for the 2021 model year. New cars should debut this year.
