Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing to get heated / cooled carbon fiber seatsNovember 30, 2020
The “charged” Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, among other things, will receive carbon fiber seats. These seats will receive a heating and cooling function.
Information about the powerful sedan Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is gradually starting to appear. We know the new car will have carbon fiber seats and forged magnesium alloy wheels to help the car shed a few pounds.
This time, the overseas publication Cadillac Society reports that the CT5-V Blackwing seats (pictured) will have heating and ventilation functions. Thanks to the widespread use of carbon fiber, the American rival BMW M5 and Mercedes-AMG E63 are expected to reduce weight, which may be due to fewer technical features.
In particular, there are carbon fiber accents on the steering wheel.
At this point, we know that Blackwing models will not have the very powerful Blackwing engine, despite the name. Instead, the sedan will reportedly receive a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 capable of producing up to 650 horsepower. Either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission will be offered as a transmission.
As for the younger CT4-V Blackwing, reports suggest it will also have a smaller and less powerful powerplant, likely a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 that puts out 464bhp. (603 Nm).
Both the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing and CT4-V Blackwing are set to debut by summer 2021.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that the powerful Cadillac Blackwing models will receive special magnesium wheels. The powerful versions of the Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V sedans (such cars will receive the Blackwing prefix to the name), version 2022 model year, will use new magnesium wheels.
