Byton released a test batch of crossovers with a 48-inch dashboardApril 15, 2020
The first batch of electric crossovers M-Byte with a huge dashboard released Byton factory in the Chinese city of Nanjing.
In China, the trial samples of the new electric crossover M-Byte left the conveyor, the main feature of which was the dashboard of incredible sizes – as much as 48 inches! These machines have to go for life tests and crash tests. They promise to organize a market debut by the middle of this year. Electrocross was the first model to register at a high-tech factory in Nanjing. The conceptual Byton M-Byte was introduced back in 2018 as part of the CES exhibition. Serial electrocross was presented a year later at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The concept car differs from the serial car in some details: for example, other bumpers. But the original curved 48-inch display, combining dashboard and multimedia, still came out in a series.
Management is carried out using voice commands, gestures, physical buttons, touchscreens and emotion recognition. The basic modification of Byton M-Byte will be equipped with a 272-horsepower electric motor. The capacity of traction batteries varies from 72 to 95 kWh. The range of the electric car on a single charge depends on the battery – 430 or 550 kilometers.
All-wheel drive cross will get two motors with a total power of 408 hp The battery capacity in this case is 95 kWh. This is enough to drive 505 kilometers without recharging. Up to 80 percent of the new product can be charged in just 35 minutes.
