But what if the crossover Mercedes-Benz GLA would be a pickup?December 16, 2019
Independent artists decided to dream up on the topic of what if a small pickup truck is built on the basis of the new generation compact crossover Mercedes-Benz GLA. There is no doubt that brand management will not decide on such a step.
The new generation of the German Mercedes-Benz GLA crossover has finally been introduced and it must be said that the car began to look more brutal than before – now it is difficult to confuse it with a hatchback, which simply has great ground clearance. The body of the novelty can now boast of “muscular” features. In addition, the motor range of the SUV includes more powerful engines, it is also worth noting the increased size of the car. GLA is a completely renewed or even so … new member of the fully updated range of compact cars of the German brand.
And how do you like this idea – to build a pickup based on the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz GLA crossover? Yes, at the moment the German brand already has an X-Class truck at its disposal, but what if the brand decides to enter the segment … compact trucks based on crossovers?
The guys from the independent studio X-Tomi Design decided to create such a performance of the car. Having taken one of the official photos of the crossover, intended for the press as the basis for their work, talented artists from Hungary, who have infinite knowledge in the Photoshop graphics editor, started to work. They removed part of the roof along with the rear doors, so that a small, but at the same time practical, cargo platform formed on this place. I must say that the resulting proportions of the car are pretty good, and the tiny truck can even be called stylish thanks to a neat spoiler attached to its roof.
Could this turn into something more than just a virtual drawing? Our answer will be as follows – it is unlikely that the leadership of the German automaker will decide on such a step.
In conclusion, it is worth noting that the start of sales of the updated compact Mercedes-Benz GLA is scheduled for next spring.
