The network has photos of the tests restyled sedan, which in Korea is known under the index K7, and in other countries – as Cadenza. The premiere of the refreshed model will be held next year.

The second-generation K7 / Cadenza sedan entered the market in 2016. The front-wheel-drive model shares the platform with the Hyundai Grandeur, in the Kia line-up, it takes place between the four-door Optima and K9 / K900 / Quoris (the Stinger liftback is not taken into account, it is closer to the sport). Two years on the assembly line is not a long time for an expensive car, but Kia decided to refresh the K7. Images of the disguised sedan were taken in Korea and published on the local Bobaedream forum.

Judging by the photo, sedan will change the bumpers, headlights and taillights. It is possible that the interior will also be updated – the Kia K7 / Cadenza can receive, for example, a more modern multimedia system. In addition, the model can expand the list of equipment, although the complete configuration of the current sedan is not exactly “poor”: for the Korean, there are nine airbags, electric drive and ventilation of the front seats, electric steering column, all-round vision camera, projection display, adaptive cruise control, panoramic sunroof.

The engines will probably remain the same: on the home market, the K7 is offered with a four-petrol 2.4 GDI (190 hp), V6 3.3 GDI (290 hp) and a 2.2 e-VGT turbo diesel (202 hp). Corporate customers are still available machines with a gas engine V6 3.0 LPI (235 hp). Diesel and V6 engine are equipped with eight-speed automatic transmission, the other engines are paired with 6АКП. Also in Korea, the Kia K7 has a hybrid version based on the 2.4 engine. The price of the pre-reform model is from 30,480,000 won.

At home, sales of the sedan are falling: in January-October of the current year, 31,630 such cars were sold, which is 18% less compared to the same period in 2017. For comparison, the related Hyundai Grandeur (from 31,120,000 won) for the ten months of this year has sold 83,454 copies (-25%).

According to preliminary data, the updated Kia K7 sedan will start on the Korean market in the spring of next year. And by the end of 2019, the refreshed model, already under the name Cadenza, should get to the United States.
