Business sedan Kia Cadenza-2019: rehearsal before restylingDecember 4, 2018
In Korea, started selling a large sedan K7 2019 model year. In other markets, sedan known as Cadenza.
The second-generation K7 / Cadenza sedan made its debut in 2016. The front-wheel drive model is built on the same platform as the Hyundai Grandeur, in the Kia lineup it occupies a niche between the four-door Optima and K9 / K900. Not so long ago, photos from tests of the refreshed K7 were posted to the Network: judging by those pictures, the car will correct the exterior design. And on the eve of Kia announced the start of sales in the home market of the 2019 model year sedan, and the design of the “four-door” has not changed, the whole update has so far boiled down to upgrading one of the engines and shaking up complete sets.
Wireless charging is now provided for a larger number of versions (previously – only in the top versions), even the multimedia system has updated the firmware. Well, for K7, electronic assistants are still available: motorway traffic assistant, (performs the function of adaptive cruise control, maintains the allowed speed), systems for preventing frontal collisions, maintaining traffic in the lane, and monitoring “blind” zones.

In Korea, sales of the model are falling: in January-October of the current year, 31,630 vehicles were sold, which is 18% less than in the ten months of 2017. For comparison, the related K7 sedan Hyundai Grandeur (from 31,120,000 won) during the same period found more than 92,000 new owners at home.
As for the Kia K7 restyling, then, according to preliminary data, such a model will be presented in Korea in the spring of next year. It is expected that the sedan change bumpers, headlights and taillights. By the end of the 2019th sedan with a new design, it is likely to get to the USA. As well, the 2.2 e-VGT turbo diesel (202 hp) now has a SCR neutralizer that reduces emissions of nitrogen oxides. The rest of the engines are the same: in Korea, the Kia K7 sedan is still available with the four-petrol 2.4 GDI (190 hp) and V6 3.3 GDI (290 hp), corporate customers are also offered cars with a gas engine V6 3.0 LPI (235 hp) Plus, in Korea, the Kia K7 has a hybrid version based on the 2.4 engine (159 hp). Diesel and V6 are paired with an eight-speed “automatic”, the other versions are equipped with 6АКП (including hybrid).
