Bundestag increased discounts on electric carsNovember 6, 2019
The German government decided to stimulate manufacturers and buyers of electric cars by increasing the discount on the purchase of ecological vehicles by 50% – from 4 thousand to 6 thousand euros.
According to the German newspaper Deutsche Welle, buyers of hybrid cars will receive a discount of 4.5 thousand euros instead of the current 3 thousand. The agreement was reached by representatives of the auto industry and the German government. However, for electric cars that have received a discount of 6 thousand euros, one rule applies – their catalog price should not exceed 40 thousand euros. All vehicles more expensive than this amount will receive a subsidy of 5 thousand euros. For cars worth more than 60 thousand euros, discounts are not provided.
The costs of subsidies will be borne jointly by both producers and the state. The decision on this was made during the “auto-summit”, which took place the day before.
Recall that earlier we wrote about the TOP 10 of the most budget electric vehicles of our time. The first place in it was taken by Renault Twizy for $ 8,600, and Uniti One went for the second line for $ 19.5 thousand.
