Bugatti will have a supersedanAugust 31, 2018
Bugatti sedan was photographed in the parking of the design center of the brand
One of the customers of Bugatti photographed in the parking of the design center of the brand in Wolfsburg an unknown car, which can be one of the variations of a hybrid supersedan based on the style of the prototype 16C Galibier. In the past year, the possibility of the appearance of such a car in the line of Bugatti was confirmed by the then president of the company Wolfgang Dürheimer.
The car in the picture is covered with a cover. But in the front part of the body you can still distinguish the proprietary horseshoe-shaped grille. In this case, the car visually looks much larger than the Chiron: it has a large wheelbase and a longer rear overhang.
In 2017 in Frankfurt, Wolfgang Dürheimer confirmed that the four-door Bugatti project is in the stage of approval. The final decision on it should be made before the end of this year. In the event that the new model will be given a green light, in the series it will go in 2024.
The harbinger of the sedan Bugatti – prototype 16C Galibier – debuted in 2010 at the Geneva Motor Show. The concept car was equipped with an 8.0-liter W16 engine from Veyron. But instead of four turbochargers it was equipped with two compressors. The expected output of the unit was 800 forces. Also considered was the option of installing a supersedan hybrid system with a capacity of more than 1,000 horsepower.
