Bugatti introduced a version of the Chiron hypercar for the racetrackJune 12, 2020
The French brand made a presentation of its Chiron hypercar by Pur Sport – this version of the model is designed for high-speed movement on the racetrack. The car was shown in the capital of Great Britain, the city of London.
The exclusive version of the Bugatti Chiron hypercar, which will be released in a circulation of only 60 copies, boasts technological improvements to the chassis, gearbox and engine.
New lightweight tailpipes of the exhaust system made of titanium and magnesium appeared in the design – these elements, like the rims, were made using 3D printing. Representatives of the automaker report that through the use of lighter materials, the car has become lighter by 50 kilograms.
The chassis was also changed and a new gearbox installed in which all gear ratios were reduced by 15 percent. The car received new tires Michelin Sport Cup 2 R.
It is reported that Pur Sport accelerates in sixth gear from 60 to 120 km / h three seconds faster than the standard Chiron, if you can really call the Bugatti “standard”.
While Pur Sport is aimed at maximum performance on the racetrack, its maximum speed is limited to “only” 350 km / h. It has long been known that the Chiron hypercar is capable of breaking the 482.7 km / h speed barrier. As before, the maximum amount of horsepower remains equal to 1500.
“Representing such an illustrious brand as Bugatti has always been a privilege for us, and we are honored to offer our customers a unique opportunity to see Chiron Pur Sport in the UK,” said H.R. Owen Ken Chu.
