Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport hypercar fuel consumption announcedNovember 18, 2020
The US Federal Environmental Protection Agency on Wednesday, November 18, shared certified data on fuel consumption of the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport hypercar.
So, it turned out that the average owner of the model will spend over 300,000 rubles on gasoline in a year. According to the department, the 8.0-liter W16 engine of the hypercar consumes 29.4 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers in the urban cycle, despite the fact that there is a function that deactivates some cylinders. On the highway, fuel consumption will drop to 18 liters, and on the combined cycle the car will consume at least 23.5 liters of gasoline every 100 kilometers. At the same time, the standard Chiron can consume 3 liters less fuel in the city.
If 45% of the hypercar’s mileage throughout the year will be on highways, and the rest on city streets, and the coupe travels a little more than 24,000 km in this mode, then the cost of its owner for fuel will be $ 4,150. … And when driving in this mode for five years, the owner of the car will spend on gas 15,000 dollars more than the average American car owner.
The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport has a 100-liter fuel tank. Thus, without refueling, a hypercar can travel 340 km in an urban cycle.
In addition, it was recently noted that the Bugatti Bolide hypercar was unveiled. It should be emphasized that the cost of this novelty, which was developed over eight months, has not been disclosed, since the French brand has not yet decided whether it will release this model.
