In the Skoda model line, this compact SUV appeared back in 2018, and in the fall of 2019, the manufacturer offered its coupe-like version, the Kamiq GT, to customers.
Experts estimate that in December 2019, Skoda dealers in China managed to sell 8,095 Skoda Kamiq crossovers. This indicator is called the best since the release of new items on the market. The continuing interest of buyers allowed Kamiq to bypass the sales of KIA Sportage and Hyundai Creta crossovers, which sold 6,180 and 8,040 cars, respectively. At the end of 2019, the Skoda Kamiq was sold more than 52,600 times. The crossover, whose length reaches 4 390 mm, is based on the PQ25 platform.
The engine range of the front-wheel drive SUV includes a 1.5-liter 110-horsepower aspirated, combined with a 5-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic transmission, as well as a 116-horsepower turbo engine with a working volume of 1.2 liters, connected with a seven-speed robot.
Buyers of the basic versions of the crossover can rely on ABS and a stabilization system, four airbags, a manually controlled air conditioning, a multifunctional steering wheel, parking sensors, an audio system and 16-inch alloy wheels. The top versions receive modern multimedia with a touchscreen, digital dashboard, electronic handbrake, climate control, electric sunroof, larger 18-inch wheels, leather trim in the passenger compartment, etc. In Chinese car dealerships, they ask for 109 900 for Skoda Kamiq up to 139,900 yuan
