The car makes its debut in the Chinese market, and eventually gets to the countries of South America. In the China, Onix will replace the Chevrolet Cavalier sedan, whose sales in this country started back in 2016.
The American brand Chevrolet is preparing to market its new Onix sedan. It is under this name that the buyers in the Celestial Empire will know – the market of this country will become a debut for the model. Onix is based on the same platform as the other Cavalier sedan. If we trace the history of the creation of this “cart”, then the chain will lead us to the previous generation of the Chevrolet Cruze. The appearance of its new sedan company Chevrolet unveiled the other day. Presentation guests were shown a car performed by Redline.
This version differs from the standard in the abundance of bright red inserts and black wheels on 16 inches. In the same color, the manufacturer painted the exterior mirror housings. Then it was not possible to peek into the interior of the car, but later official web photos appeared on the Web.
Judging by the pictures, the Chevrolet Onix Redline will receive a truncated steering wheel, “sport” seats with integrated head restraints and improved lateral support, as well as beige inserts on the front panel and door cards. Attention is drawn to a modern multimedia with a “floating” touchscreen and an abundance of compartments for storing various kinds of trifles (experts counted 22).
The dimensions of the new sedan, by the way, resemble the dimensions of the Hyundai Solaris: length – 4,474 mm, width – 1,730 mm, height – 1,471 mm, wheelbase – 2,600 mm. Chevrolet Onix for China will drive a 116-horsepower gasoline engine per liter. Another power unit is also available – a 1.3-liter engine with 103 hp output. On sale in the Chinese market, the novelty should appear already this year. The cost of the new sedan, according to preliminary forecasts, starts from 78,800 yuan
We will remind, earlier it was reported that the Chevrolet company introduced to the Chinese market its other inexpensive sedan – the Chevrolet Monza.
