Budget Hyundai Venue crossover will receive an intelligent gearboxJuly 4, 2020
The novelty will combine the properties of a classic manual transmission and “automatic”, which should increase the comfort of control.
Hyundai Venue from the moment of its entry into the market immediately became a bestseller. It is appreciated for the budget price, stylish design, good equipment and build quality. However, Hyundai decided not to stand still and continue to develop the car. On Saturday, July 4, it was announced the appearance of a new gearbox called iMT in the brand lineup. The name stands for Intelligent Manual Transmission.
“Smart Mechanics” will combine the properties of manual transmission and automatic transmission. On cars where it will be installed, gear shifting will need to be done manually, but you no longer need to squeeze the clutch. To do this, a special sensor will be used, which at the right time will give the necessary command. Hyundai is looking forward to the appearance of such a version on the market.
According to the company’s management, for many drivers the iMT transmission will be the best option – it will greatly simplify traffic jams, but at the same time retain the pleasure of driving on the “mechanics”, which is important for such motorists.
Such a transmission will be available as an option, and such cars will go on sale in late July. In the future, the new KIA Sonet cross will acquire the same gearbox.
