Budget electric crossover from Renault / Dacia shown on patent imagesJuly 15, 2020
Renault is planning to launch an inexpensive electric novelty “daughter” on the European market. In early March, Dacia, during an online presentation, introduced a conceptual version of the future Spring electric car. Now the turn has come to patent images of a serial car.
Patent images of a budget electric car called Spring, which the Dacia brand is preparing for Europe, have appeared on the Web.
Prior to this model, the company supplied Europeans cars with modern Renault TCe engines, gasoline engines capable of running on liquefied gas, and hybrids. There was no talk of all-electric installations. However, with the release of new items, everything will change.
Externally, the new electrocross from Renault / Dacia for Europe is much like the serial electric hatchback Renault Twingo Z.E.
If we compare the concept car with a crossover in patent drawings, then the serial Spring gets a slightly simpler design. So, for example, the design of the optics has become easier, and the bumpers have been reduced in size. Also on the serial version there is no charging port on the right front panel. Perhaps this connector “moved” to a new place: as an option – for the front logo.
Recall, the Dacia Spring concept car could boast a power reserve of 200 kilometers, and its length did not reach a little 3.75 meters. There are no official data on the technical characteristics of the new product yet. The electric crossover can enter the market already in the 2021st. But the brand can present a serial electric car until the end of 2020.
