Budget Datsun models are now equipped with a variatorSeptember 16, 2019
Datsun will update its budget models by upgrading them. They made this decision due to the gradual decline in car sales.
The representative of the Japanese automaker Nissan said that soon an updated and improved version of the budget Datsun GO and GO + will be presented. Under the hood, an engine with an X-Tronic variator will now be installed. However, at the moment it is not known how this will affect the cost of new cars.
These models of the budget segment appeared on the global market a little more than five years ago, and there was immediately a good demand for them due to the low cost of the copy. However, later the negative dynamics of sales volume began to appear. The automaker believes that this may be due to the appearance on the market of no less worthy competitors in this segment. The company decided not to give up and modernized its budget model by changing the power plant and adding some more updates in general.
Now, under the hood of the new Datsun GO and GO +, there is a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine that produces 68 horsepower. Now it is available with the X-Tronic variator, however, initially it was equipped only with a manual gearbox.
The top-end configurations of the budget car received an updated modern multimedia system with a touch screen, directional stability and passive safety systems Airbag.
