Budget analog KIA Rio will become a global modelSeptember 14, 2019
KIA announced its readiness to bring to market a new model called the Soluto. It is based on the RIO model of the past generation. Under the hood, a 1.4-liter engine for 100 forces will be installed. The debut took place today in Vietnam.
KIA is going to make money on the last generation of the RIO model. Based on it, the new Soluto sedan will be released, which will become a global model. The budget employee was introduced back in 2017, but in China and under the name Pegas. At the moment, the car is sold in the Middle Kingdom, the Philippines, South and South America. Today is a presentation in Vietnam.
It is worth noting that the assembly of the model for the local market is already localized, which will help provide a more favorable price tag. However, the local version will be slightly different from analogues in other countries. The model will receive a compact spoiler on the trunk lid, and LED DRLs in the front bumper.
As a power unit, a non-alternative 1.4-liter engine per 100 horsepower will be offered. Together with him they will install a five-step “mechanics” or a classic “automatic” with four steps.
The price is still unknown.
