British tuner built a 710-hp carbon Mercedes-AMG G 63January 29, 2019
SUV updated suspension, body kit parts and equipped it with 23-inch wheels
British tuning studio Urban Automotive presented its own package of improvements for the Mercedes-AMG G 63 of a new generation. The SUV came up with a body kit with carbon fiber parts and increased engine power to 710 horsepower.
Mercedes-AMG G 63 equipped with extended wheel arches, new front bumper, spoiler, diffuser and additional lighting unit on the roof. Most of the parts, including the spare wheel casing, were made of carbon fiber. In addition, G-Wagen was equipped with 23-inch wheels, retuned suspension and exhaust with adjustable flaps.
The modified engine – a 4.0-liter “eight” with two turbochargers – gives 710 instead of 585 horsepower. The SUV accelerates 0.5 seconds faster to 100 km/h than the base car, which needs 4.5 seconds to do so.
The Brabus 700 Widestar, previously presented on the basis of the new Mercedes-AMG G 63, also received a 700-horsepower engine, a two-color leather stitched interior and an upgraded body kit. The SUV was equipped with a sports exhaust system with electronically controlled valves, two stainless steel tailpipes and variable pitch of sound, aluminum paddles integrated into the wheel arches with LEDs.
