The authors of YouTube-channel LivingLifeFast told about the 75-year-old resident of Great Britain who owns an unusual hot-hatch – a 600-horsepower Volkswagen Golf R. Earlier the pensioner went to BMW M135i.

Unlike the standard car, a two-liter turbo four which produces 310 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, the engine of the modified “Golf” was first forced to 450, and then to 600 hp. For this purpose the unit was equipped with an experimental Turbonetics turbocharger. According to the publication of Motor1, a turbine of this size is installed on only two “Golf” in the world.

How the dynamic characteristics of the machine have changed is not reported. The usual Volkswagen Golf R for acceleration to “hundreds” takes 4.5 seconds, and its maximum speed is limited by electronics at around 250 kilometers per hour.

In addition to the turbine, the Golf R was equipped with a RacingLine air intake, an upgraded intercooler specially designed for the machine with a fuel pump and the Milltek exhaust system.
