British diplomats working around the world, including in Moscow, will begin to take more active care of the environment. The UK Foreign Ministry plans to make its diplomatic service one of the greenest in the world. A special program was developed for this, one of the points of which is to transfer British diplomats to electric cars
It is reported that in 30 British diplomatic missions around the world will send electric crossovers Jaguar I-Pace. The geography of their distribution is from Montreal and Rio de Janeiro to the European capitals, Abu Dhabi and Sydney. Among the cities where diplomatic electric cars will appear by April next year, Moscow is also listed.
To maintain the health of environmentally friendly cars, fast charging points will be organized.
The British Foreign Ministry plans to increase the percentage of electric cars in its fleet to 25 by 2022. By 2030, this figure should grow to 100 percent. The British Foreign Ministry also wants to place solar panels on the roofs of its diplomatic missions and abandon plastic cups.
