Brabus showed a new projectApril 27, 2020
Atelier Brabus showed the new project Ultimate E, which is a sporting version of the convertible Smart EQ Fortwo electric car. This city car received an aggressive body kit, 18-inch alloy wheels, a forced electric motor and a “freshened” interior.
Unlike the conceptual model Ultimate E with an electric motor of 204 hp. and acceleration to the first 100 kph in 4.5 seconds, the serial Ultimate E even after the update did not become more dynamic. The electric motor produces 92 hp (118 Nm) – only 11 hp and 20 Nm more than the simple Smart EQ Fortwo. The increase in productivity was achieved by reducing autonomy by 25 km to 125.
The restyled Ultimate E is one of the slowest Brabus designs. Acceleration to 100 km / h Ultimate E requires 11.9 seconds, and the maximum speed reaches 130 km / h.
The appearance of the model was improved: instead of the standard front bumper, a product with a developed air intake was installed, lining on the wings and sills appeared.
The interior is completely original: it is worth noting the presence of thresholds with a signature light, a customized selector for selecting driving modes, and high-quality leather chairs. The front panel, door cards and controls are decorated with red stitching, and the pedals with Brabus aluminum trim. Nevertheless, such a style is typical only for a demonstration car, since each client has the opportunity to personalize the electric car for themselves.
The tuning company intends to produce only 50 restyled Ultimate E electric cars. Apparently, the high cost of the modernized city car is due to the limited edition: from 61,000 euros.
