Brabus Mercedes G550: the previous Gelentwagen ready for military service?December 16, 2018
The tuners from Brabus decided to work a little more on the Gelentwagen Mercedes G550, and presented a modified version. Now the SUV looks stylish and ready for military service!
Timeless design, excellent handling and throughput – this is the recipe for success in the automotive market, demonstrated to us by the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. And the classic SUV enjoys love and attention not only from buyers, but also from tuners. The famous studio Brabus presented a new project with the G550 SUV.
Despite the prestige of the model, alloy wheels in red and a number of improvements, the car would look harmoniously in the service in the desert. This effect is due to the body color in sand color. The hue differs from the Desert Sand offered by Mercedes in a new generation. In addition to painting, a few additional light fixtures were added on the bumper and roof.
In addition to color, and LEDs with disks, not everyone will notice additions (who are not familiar with the model). Brabus also added a special body kit, including new bumpers, wheel arch extensions and chrome steps. For the interior of this previous generation Mercedes-Benz G-Class, a combination of black and red leather with diamond-shaped stitching was chosen. According to the tuner, premium material was used on the seats, door panels and floor mats.
Unfortunately, the cost of improvements and body kit is not reported, but we are clearly shown that the previous generation of the SUV is still too early to bury.
Meanwhile, Carlex Design decided to launch a new series of renderers, and then real projects. The debut work was the “nightmarish” Mercedes X-Class Custom with six wheels, a carbon fiber body.
