Brabus introduced the 789-hp version of the Mercedes-AMG GT63 S sports carMay 29, 2019
The well-known tuning studio Brabus worked hard on the powerful German 4-door coupe Mercedes-AMG GT63 S. As a result of all the work, the car received 789 hp and 1000 Nm. A highly efficient aerodynamic body kit was also developed for the car.
Mercedes-AMG GT63 S with a power of 630 horsepower is the most powerful production car, which is only in the current model range of the German automaker, except for the hypercar One. But Brabus is Brabus, which is a famous tuning studio and loves to modernize Mercedes-Benz cars. So we are not at all surprised that the tuner decided to bring the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 to a whole new level.
The official presentation of the upgraded car will be held tomorrow at the event Top Marques Monaco. The model received 789 horsepower – or an additional 159 horses, compared with the standard version of the 4-door coupe.
Brabus also raised the torque value to a beautifully rounded four-digit number – 1000 Nm. As a result, “fussing” with an eight-cylinder engine, the “muscular” AMG model can now travel from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.9 seconds or three tenths of a second faster. After the elimination of the electronic maximum speed limiter, this figure is 315 km / h.
The guys from Brabus installed a pair of branded turbochargers of their own production, reconfigured the electronic engine control unit and were engaged in the modification of some software.
Especially for the upgraded GT63 S, the tuner has developed several body parts. They are made of carbon fiber and optimized in a wind tunnel for maximum aerodynamic efficiency. In the cabin there is a finish of high quality leather and Alcantara, it is also possible to order items from carbon and wood.
