Brabus guys add power to Mercedes-Benz EQCMarch 4, 2020
The brand’s new electric crossover fell into the hands of tuners for the first time.
In the workshops of the German tuning studio Brabus, many models of the Mercedes-Benz brand visited. Until now, tuners have preferred to refine cars with traditional ICEs, only occasionally turning their attention to electric cars. Recall that in Brabus twice (in 2014 and 2019) they worked with electric Smart. Now in the portfolio of the tuner there is another electric car – the crossover Mercedes-Benz EQC. The vast majority of tuning studios do not undertake to increase the impact of electric cars, since this is a very time-consuming process.
The Brabus specialists were not afraid of difficulties and added the power of the Mercedes-Benz EQC: instead of 408 hp, the electrocross produces 422. Due to this upgrade, it was possible to reduce the acceleration time to 100 kph from 5.1 to 4.9 seconds. The maximum speed of the electric car did not increase – 180 km / h.
Externally tuned EQC differs from the usual electrocrossover with a radiator grill, on which the Brabus emblem flaunts, and a spoiler. Other body kit parts are still under development. Inside the car there are leather and Alcantara, and on the cards of the doors, the center console and the tunnel there is a spectacular red decor. Special pedals appeared on the pedals and thresholds, and they decided to reconfigure the virtual dashboard graphics. Recall Mercedes-Benz EQC off the assembly line from last year.
